Could you make a compression lock on a flipper knife?

I'm not completely familiar with every little detail on the compression lock, so I have to ask. Would it be possible/practical to make a flipper knife with a compression lock if one wanted? It's hard with a lockback or ball lock obviously, but is there anything in the compression lock construction that would hinder the action of a flipper? If not, I think it would make a pretty unique knife.

It shouldn't present any major problems, you'd just have to ensure the flipper cleared the stop pin in the closed position, which you have to do for a liner lock anyway.

What Yab said

A lot of flippers use the stop pin, as a "stop pin" for opening AND closing. The flipper rests on the stop pin when closed and the detent holds it closed. Or in the compression lock, that milled out area the lockbar sits in would hold the blade closed.

I don't really like flippers, but one from Spyderco might make me jump :)
