Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE the 0562 design. I think the ergonomics are amazing, it flips beautifully, and the overall feeling of quality in hand is top notch...but I just couldn't decide on M390 or Elmax for what will become my EDC for what I imagine is going to be a very long time.

I ended up checking out the fixed blade section of my local knife shop while debating on which 0562 to go with and upon handling this, I decided that the 0180 had to come home with me today instead...did I need this awesome little blade? Absolutely not, but it feels great in the hand, has the sharpest factory edge I've ever seen on a ZT knife (whittles hair with ease), the DLC coating looks great, and I am eager to see how Vanadis 4E holds up to some use.

My new ZT has come home to some pretty stiff competition though:

Doesn't really seem like such a thick blade anymore...

I hope to get hiking or at least out into some local woods within the next week or two so I can put this knife to use..

Loving it so far :)

In the meanwhile, I think I'll be selling my Domino to clear pocket space for a 0562 real soon!

Nice badger!

ooooh yeah, I just LOVE my badger! Everytime I even just entertain the idea of maybe selling it to get a new Son of Badger and something else to go with it, I hold it in my hand and all of those silly thoughts just melt away. Getting it was a total grail experience, and it remains one of my "grailiest" knives in my small collection.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how the Vanadis 4E and INFI compare to each other... Having said that, I am totally open to ideas if you or anyone else have any thoughts on any good test(s) to put these two against each other.

the handle hardware looks ridiculously over-sized, always loved that about zt's.

I know what you mean man! I like it too. Personally, I think it looked a little better with the large Torx bolts that held the prototypes together, but these work too.

The one thing I might have changed is to maybe have a custom-molded kydex insert made for the sheath, or perhaps try the mod that people do with the plastic insert that comes with the sheath. As it is, the ZT0180's fit into the spec-ops sheath is just off enough for me to want an improvement..
