I replaced the scales on my BK7 with micarta scales and couldnt just toss the originals so I made a blade to fit em :D Kinda a 7in Companion(dont ask, I made this one just for me).

Building a knife around generic plastic handles? That's devotion alright. Neat looking blade though. It looks really nice.

That looks excellent Bill, very nice work.

Those are patented grivory scales, not generic plastic. ;)

Sorta looks like a RAT 7 but with Becker scales. I like it. What steel?

It is .200 thick 5160 with a cold blue finish. Still need to get a center bolt for the scales. I dropped the handle a few degrees off dead straight and it feels nice to me.

That's damn nice. You should team up with Ethan to design a knife. Looks awesome.

I really like the handle dropped a little. Looks like it wants to chop. Great job.

Very cool knife Mr. Siegle. Very cool.

Looks really nice! That angle is killer. But what is this Companion of which you speak? :D

Wow, and a full flat grind too. Nice.
I'm still grumpy about my becker-handled stumpy that cracked. jealous!

Nice work on the blade!
Just wondering though when they started calling Zytel 'grivory'?

they didn't. afaik, zytel is a brand name. grivory is a brand name. similar, but different product with a higher glass content.

xerox. kleenex. etc :)

Thats awesome. Nice work Bill as always! maybe if we all get on Ethan and dig deep in our pockets this could be the BH blade!!! Im diggin it!

Bill, very nice indeed. Those scales don't look quite factory original though ... maybe you should send me that blade so I can try my set of 'certified" factory original scales on it.

Thanks,
Jester

We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge or gallantry would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution is designed only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for any other.
