Couldn't pass the Electricians knives....

Those look to be in excellent shape. I have one of the CamCo electrician knives... and I fully agree they would make a great working knife, and not only for "spark chasers".....

edit: Oh, and for $5 each? I think that qualifies as "theft".... :)

Thanks guys.... always on the look out for quality overlooked blades...
I think these Camillus Electricians qualify.

Henry...your orange is the blade that gets the "ahhh !" award. Very cool.

HnS... looks to be in excellent condition.... I'd have given 20 for that knife.
Glad to hear you put it to use.

My three "EK's".. the wooden handled is a Kutmaster, with a broken screwdriver blade:(, and the second is the CamCo, with the third one (apparently designed for electricians that drink beer while they work:cool:) is a Queen, with Winterbottom bone scales. It is easily the most elegant of the three, being slimmer and perhaps more dressy looking. It also does not have the liner lock that the other two have.

There's some nice ones here. I've picked up a couple good onesfrom flea markets, but most that I've found around here have been sharpened with bench grinders & what's left of them isn't even worth the $3-5 asking price.

It's certainly nicer than the Klein / Utica I found for $5 at the flea market a couple years ago.
Both blades were very deeply corroded by what I can only assume had to be some kind of corrosive chemical.
The knife blade is pretty full still, but it was obviously sharpened or cleaned up on some kind of grinder and I suspect a compromised temper because it seems to dull rather quickly on me.

That's a good deal. I've been known to have a few TL-29's on my bench from time to time...

Bought my first electrician's knife at a gun show this weekend. A Klein, which based on Hickory n steel's post above, is made by Utica. I wondered who made it. It makes it my first Utica too. Although now that I think about it, one of the knives I found at Dad's may be a Kutmaster.
Anyway, I paid $10 for it. Has good snap, no blade play, and doesn't seem like its been used very much. Plastic handles. Seems like a pretty solid ten dollar knife.

it is a fun model but a bit hefty I wish I could find a lighter version with a weaker pull, my Camillus is too strong for my liking, and I would prefer stainless steel most I see are carbon.
