Picked this up at a small shop that sells cheap Chinese knives, swords and axes. They have 3 small cases with pocket knives. This one caught my eye so I brought it home.

I'm wondering if I got my monies worth.

Has a slight gap between the liners and backspring shown top right.

And some small chips on the scale near the bolster.

Seems well used but not abused. Needs a cleaning. Springs seem strong with minimal blade play.

Not too sharp but also hasn't been scratched by poor sharpening.

Plenty of life left in it as a user.

Oh man. What a dandy fine. Looks like someone barely broke it in for you. Like a new pair of boots that went on a couple of nice hunting trips.

After thinking about it for a bit I've decided it's going to take a trip to Cincinatti for a makeover. Maybe some jigged bone, stag or rams horn scales, a little filework and some stippled bolsters.

I love these. I have had one for years and worked over many deer and antelope with it. I just bought a variation, that has a sawblade in it! It is beautiful. There are 5 variations: The 1 blade 125 OT, your 2 blade 25 OT, the sawblade 225 OT, the 1 blade 127 UH, and the 2 blade 227 UH. These are the core of my collection. I am also looking at some of these 5 1/4 inch knives in the Boker brand. The Case brand is greatly overpriced, but maybe someday...

Well just look at her now. If it wasn't worth what I paid originally it is now.

It was done by the legendary Bob Picklesimer.

I don't know if he's really legendary but he does some damn good work.

I would have been happy with just the new scales. The stippled bolsters and filework was an added bonus.
