Couldn't find a steel bb so I tried a glass one. It came up 11.5 from 12... 95% perhaps

OK, that sounds good to me - using a glass ball vs a steel ball bearing dropped from 12" it rebounded to 11.5" That sounds good to me.

Fun, try the glass ball on a mild steel plate and see the difference.
