Couldnt stand it, had to order the new cqc8 Jungle.

Well, I couldn't stand it. That cqc8 jungle has been calling my name for the last few nights. As a bowhunter, that jungle green is friggen perfect and its a big knife for only weighing 4.6 oz. Got to see what I think of the new standoffs in my hand. Expect a review when I get it in the mail.

Can't wait to see it! The 8 is one of my favorite designs, and that jungle green is just icing on an already delicious cake ;)
 
The blade shape, handle shape with the green couldnt be any more perfect. Some Emersons look good in desert brown but the CQC8 with that banana black blade, looks like a knife Arnold would have on the set of the Predator movie. I suspect its a perfect snipers knife.

I will accept the "enabler" title if it helps you explane a new knife to your wife.:D

I will write you a note explaining its a sickness that may be covered by Obama Care providing you buy the platinum $800 a month plan. See how I did that, I changed the subject and now she is worried about a $800.00 a month insurance plan, not a $230.00 dollar knife purchase.

Got one on order myself. Id prefer it and the commander jungle had uncoated blades option....but im liking the green scales.

have to wait til I get it in hand on how I will like it...but the blade shape is telling me im gonna like it.
 
aaah i am resisting the urge to buy it since it is up on their website!

I think i really Need it though :D
 
I love the green g10 and almost bought a Jungle Commander but I use my knives in the field hunting and I had a issue with the Commander blade shape fielddressing so I made myself wait to see if a more conventional blade came in Jungle dress. The CQC 8 was a no brainer but since I just bought a mini CQC15 first and did not see the Jungle release of the CQC8, I have just purchased 2 new Emersons in 5 days time..... Not to be a enabler but honestly, if you are a Emerson fan, what else could you possible ask for in a new Emerson?? Jungle green G10, with the new standoffs on one of the most popular and functional Emerson designs of all times. That's pretty damn significant. Its a winner regardless how you look at it. I suspect you will not see many, if any being flipped in the near future for any less money. If that doesn't motivate you then maybe my well armed trunk monkey will..... double dog dare you.


As far as the Jungle black blade finish, I have both blade finishes on Emersons. The stonewash is pretty but the black has held up good for me and it has that tactical look and more BA looking.. I can see why Mr Emerson wanted to keep only the black blade theme with the green g10. He did the same thing with the stonewash with the desert tan CQC7V and with the black blade on the Desert Roadhouse. It keeps the knifes specific look and will keep it more exclusive.
