Hey Guys,

Council Tool is stepping up their on-line presence and have re-done their website counciltool.com

And they now have an Instagram account.. @council_tool

Not sure how many of you are fans of Council or frequent IG, but they seem to be making an effort to connect with their customers on-line...

Peace, Rooster

They're a good company, but I think that social media is just a pile of crap ( no offense to anyone who likes social media, but people just care so much about it when it means absolutely nothing )
I can certainly understand doing what's needed to expand their market , but they really have no need to target hipsters ( they should just start chargeing best made more money for the heads they buy and hipster all up )

Yeah, I can't really see the hipster market extending that faux lumberjack look as far as carrying axes around in downtown Seattle or where ever. It works with boots and plaid, but not really with tools.

On the other hand, I've always been a bit surprised by the way a lot of us curmudgeonly older (and younger) folks keep up with tech, in spite of actually enjoying pursuits about as far removed from it as possible too. So if its cheap advertising for Council, then good for them.

I never knew how many small companies and makers are on Instagram....there is a lot of really cool stuff that I don't see here, or on other forums/facebook...eh? :)

I want to know what the funky slasher-looking thingy is in a couple of the banner/header images on their website. Doesn't show up anywhere in the products section. I wrote them asking about it and never heard back.

I'm pretty sure that is a vintage sickle that they don't currently make...I think they use the image to show that they have some history....eh?

Is this the photo?:
