The craftsmanship and quality exhibited by this tool proved to be superb and went well beyond my expectations. For those that may be looking for one, I will post a few pics below that will allow you to use it for reference.

Some Basic Specs
Style: Hudson Bay
Length: 26 inches
Head Weight: 1.75lb
Cost: $45ish

It comes with a black enamel coating to protect from rusting. As you will see, I stripped this from mine to reveal the beautiful hand crafted steel. Also, it comes without a sheath but you will notice that the pictures below have one that I made myself. Finally, be sure to check the grain on that handle! Wow!

Hope that helps some of you!

thanks for the pics...
ive got the 18" version that i picked up early last fall mainly for kindling chores. i have to say that i really do like it. im going to carry it with me on a camping trip this summer and see how she performs around camp. i suspect she'll do fine;)

btw; i picked mine up at a place in town for $18.95! i also picked up a CT 'boys axe' at the same place a few weeks ago for $21.95! :D

I recently picked one up too. Very similar handle grain, with just a very little bit of crookedness to the haft/head alignment. Not enough to worry about though. For the price, they are amazing.
