Last year at some point I bought a 102, 105, and 117 pro series with green micarta and s35vn steel. First knives with that steel. I wanted a Vanguard too but were sold out by the time I decided. Anyway I decided to take the 105 with me on my son’s bow hunt last night. Hour and a half in the stand and we had 4 bucks come in. He shot a nice 8 point. His third deer but first bow kill at 10 years old. Super excited for him! I really liked the 105 blade for field dressing. Previously my primary field dressing knife was a wood handle vanguard in 420. The point of the 105 worked great making the main cut. I then quartered the deer and the blade again worked great for the skinning cuts on the legs and the rough quartering cuts. So long story short…I think I have a new favorite blade!
