Well someone at work decided they needed the gerber I usually carry more then i do. After 5 years of hard work, it was on its last legs not a very good quality knife.

So i went to my Local Wholesale sports, spent a good hour looking at folders of all kinds and styles.

Kershaw leeks were nice, but the assisted opening would surely raise a few eyebrows, i liked the Zing, but a plastic handle just didnt do it for me and the fancy button to lock the blade in just didnt seem like it was up to beggin beat around in my pocket.

CRKT knives were nice, but way too tactical looking for my style

Spyderco Knives Were super nice, The loop for opening didnt really strike my fancy, but they were nice looking knives for sure

Benchmade knives were all way out of my pricerange, but very slick.
Gerbers were ok, but the steel in the blades wasnt all that great i am told, and After having to sharpen my old gerber about once a week I was plenty tired of that.
There is one knife that i saw / fondled lovingly that i just couldnt help but keep coming back to, It didnt have a belt clip and that was why i didnt choose it immedietley, But nothing else came close to comparing to the Build quality and quite caught my eye the way this paticular knife did.

My grandfather told me when i was a kid that i should never be without a good pocketknife, He had an old folder he carried untill he died. I decided it was time to do some research and get something that will hopefully last me well into my 80's if i dont lose it.
