Counterfeit Commander on ebay

I was looking around on ebay and while doing a search for Emerson knives I came across an auction for what is most likely a fake Commander.

Take a look at item #220057120422, Emerson Professional fighting Folding Knife(B) knives.

Looks as though the seller has listed at least one more counterfeit Commander.

I saw a warning on the Emerson website about counterfeit knives, so I sent an email message to Emerson asking if a company from which I recently bought a CQC7 was a potential seller of counterfeits. Got a reply indicating that the company in question was a true business partner of Emerson and the comment "We see most of the counterfeits lately on ebay, from different private sellers."

I called Emerson about these auctions and they told me that they were working with ebay to take care of the problem.

They also said that the Commander is the most copied model. The counterfeiters will go as far as putting an Emerson logo on the blade of the fake Commanders. The number one way to tell if it's a fake is by the use of torque head screws on the handle.

The CQC-7 is also copied but it looks real bad and doesn't have a logo on the blade.
