Not the is the Bradley Alias a copy of .... kind of thing. I'm talking about knock-offs that are offered as the real deal. Has anyone seen any and what knives were they faking? Are fakes something you have to worry about in knife collecting?

EDIT: I'm asking about knives in current production, like those from Kershaw, Spyderco, Benchmade, Chris Reeve, etc. catalogs.

Well,, You Sir have Nuts!. Good On Ya!

Most of us here in our early knife collecting excursions, or at least when we start out, anyway,, are waayyyy to ashamed to admit when we get taken into the clutches of the scumbags that completely ruin it for many of us here by screwing the poor slobs that are un-in-formed.. Yes,, I was one of those in the 1960's and 1970's.. However, I learned to educate myself and soon I was a much smarter fellow.. :) :D

OK, then, Go directly to Bernard Levines forum right here in BladeForums... And yea, its free.. ..

OH Yea, here is the link..

reminds me of my early excursions to knife collecting. bought a pearl pen knife marked [chicago worlds fair 1933 ] at a flea market. when i went back a few weeks later the old man had an identical pen knife in his arrangement.

Welcome to BladeForums!

There have been fake Spydercos, Benchmades, and Bucks reported. Usually reported as being for sale on ebay.
Buy from a good internet dealer or from a dealer that has a dealer membership here and you should be just fine.

A good place to find information about dealers is the Good, Bad, and Ugly Forum:
BladeForums.com > The Knife Exchange > FEEDBACK: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly!

BladeForums dealers sell here:
