There are more and more lately, be careful when buying these.

I just saw a bunch of them listed and checked the sellers other stuff and saw other brands that look fake too, not just SOG............they are getting bad.

I just wonder where all this is going..........:grumpy:

Too bad we can't send them back where they came from
and charge them for the aggravation!

If I buy my SOG knives direct from Smokey Mountain Knife works, would it be safe to say that theres no way it would be counterfit?

Something can always slip through, but I'd say your pretty safe with SMKW.

You might also want to look at New Graham and Knifeworks, you might find some better prices. Both are outstanding online vendors with supurb CS. AG Russell also carries a large number of SOG items.

Amazon is always worth looking at. I've found some great deals there on occasion, and usually with free shipping. Personally, I only go for the itmes labeled "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com".

eBay is always full of good deals, but more often than not, that great deal will cause you a lot of heartache when you try to use your item. Unless you actually know the person, or you've done so much research on the seller that you know you're going to be ok,, I would go with SMKW, Amazon, and the few other reputable online sites out there.

You can always go to your larger sporting goods store and check out there knifes as well. I found my local Dicks Sporting Goods has a great inventory of SOG knifes on hand. I've been sending some friends there to pick them up when they like mine :D

Thanks,
- Bill
