a friend of a friend pulled out what looked like a Tenacious today, except the blade was marked CPM-s30v
The fit and finish was actually not bad, I might have been fooled, if he didn't tell me he only paid like 15 dollars for it.

The fake with S30V steel, and the real with 8CR13MOV steel... that would be shocking if the counterfeit version was actually superior to the authentic Spyderco, considering they are both made in china.... (fake was marked golden colorado,USA)

The question I have is : are these fake knives actually BS steel, and stamped s30v? Or do you think they are actually made out of s30v?
 
Are you positive it was not another Spyderco model or trying to fake another Spyderco model? The Chinese already make the Tenacious, and I have yet to see a fake Tenacious.

type that into google- it's the first one on the list.... That's a fake tenacious, isn't it?
On second look.... it looks kinda like a PM2 but with a liner lock, instead of a compression lock....
Anyone know what the hell this is?

I think that one is actually a bad (one of the first attempted) fake PM2's. They didn't even attempt the compression lock, but it is closer in size to the PM2 and has the bigger laynard tube and a four way hour glass clip.
