Just wanted to show off a new toy:

I call it my country knife, to replace my Strider SMF, it's the AR, which I intend as a heavy use knife for camping, when I'm not carrying my fixed Busse. I don't use this in the city cause it scares too many folks:

Here it is in hand for reference. I'm about 5'10" 185lbs.

This is my city knife. The Darrel Ralph AXD. It's lighter by about 20 pounds than the Strider. Ti scales, S30V blade. Chisel tip, but symmetrical blade belly.

My letter opener, Benchmade, Elishewitz:

All three together folded for centering reference. The BM rubs the liner. The other two are bank vault solid and centered.

Lock up on all. The Strider liner is about as thick as the DR frame!

Gotta mow the lawn now then get ready for dinner.

Cliff :D

I really like garden work. My neighbors are always saying. "Are you coming here next". My reply, "For a small fee".

Yeah, I'll go over and do yardwork at your place for free, provided you pay for transport.

Deadhead, are you a recurve archer or compound bow guy?

Cliff ;)

I really love the technology of the compound; but really appreciate the beauty and simplicity of the recurves. Right now, I don't have the time to practice being a good recurve bowyer (not like Pappa Bear who could snap-shot so quick your head would spin!) so for now I stick to the technology that evens the odds for my skill-level!

Unfortunately, right now, most my money goes to other sharp pointy things... ;)

Again, thanks for sharing the pics! :)

But only with a recurve. There are sooo many good new ones on the market today.

Great knives, I've been wanting a Strider sooo bad lately. I'll probably break down and order one next month.

And, BTW, real men shoot longbows! :D
