Do all knives sold in the USA have to be stamped with the country of origin? A buddy of mine said there was some law about this.Now I am curous.
 
YES, all imported goods must have the country
of origin on them to pass through U.S. customs.
 
It was to charge tariff taxes on imported knives in the 1890's. Its one of the ways to tell if an antique knife was made prior to 1890 or not.
