been liking these lately. couple of these larger folders which are 5.25" closed. this basic pattern have been made by a few companies over the years. some are gone some still around and boker still makes them. these are two of them I grabbed......grey bone slipjoint and stag lockback version.....15453558004467979199092588374473.jpg
really great knives........so glad boker still makes some of the great stuff still in germany.

I will have to look into those. I have some small two blade Buck folders ( made in China of course) when just a simple pocket knife is wanted.

Very nice, I always liked the big hunter pattern. The single blade versions of these are scarce these days. Anyone know if they are still in production?

Good call on the catalog, I should have thought of that. After a pleasurable flip through the on-line 2018 copy I found only one single, in Damascus.
Thanks

That's the one! Funny, they are calling it a 2020. I seem to remember back in the 1980s, they called the single blade hunter a 1010 pattern. They had a lockback version too, called the 1011 IIRC.
Ooh, I just saw one with stag handles on collectorknives

Some old 1010 patterns with stag handles can still be found online. Kniveplus has the 1011 (lockback) version.

I think you are correct on the model numbers, singles were 1010, doubles were 2020. That smooth appaloosa bone looks very good too.

Wow!, check out this one from the Boker Solingen 2018 Winter catalog "Classic Gold" series!

I see this one on the Solingen website, but not Boker USA.
