I've owned a couple Sebenza and a couple 'Zaan, but it's been a good 7-8 years since I had either. I've gotten maybe more particular in the interim.
A bit of browsing around has made me wonder..
Do large plain Inkosi come only with blue studs? Only with double studs?

I'd like a large plain Inkosi Tanto, but if I had my druthers it'd be a single silver thumb stud.

Am I just out of luck pertaining to this particular preference?

I looked at DLT and the plain Inkosi Tanto had the two blue lugs. I guess you could get one and send it in to CRK and have them change out the studs. Would take some time and money. At least the knife is in stock though.

If you get the Micarta then the studs are sliver (two).

Yeah there's some out there but they all have the same configuration.
I saw the lead times on the CRK site.. yikes.

Single blue or double silver would make me feel at least 50% better lol.
I'll just keep my eyes peeled.
You won’t find single due to the thicker blade stock. The only single studs they make wont reach the opposite side like on the sebenza so they just do them in double. They do produce double silver PJs but it takes a little luck finding one.

I suppose I'm not alone in my thinking- the biggest (perhaps only) qualm I have with the brand is the studs.

They have a bunch more of my money due to the blue studs. I have sent in too many to count for silver lug swaps. Turnaround time is usually pretty quick if you are only having lugs swapped.

For what it’s worth, the lock bar on the Inkosi makes it about 2x easier to get to the left side thumb stud compared to a Sebenza. They look the same, but don’t function the same! I wouldn’t write it off until you get one in hand.

Inkosi lockbar is cut deeper, wider, and further from the stud. I can flip open the inkosi without even thinking about it left handed, the same can’t be said for the sebs.
