Had some fun doing some rope and cardboard cutting! Shout out to Ankerson, jdavis, smokeeater, and cliff stamp, and everyone else who does these tests. I love watching them and love doing them. I feel like it gives a little bit of real world results. I've known for a while my Spyderco GB would excel in this test just from all the cutting I've experienced with the knife. I knew my 0560 would not excel do its thick ass blade. Either way, no science here, just fun.

I will say K390 and S110V blew my mind. Still shaving hair after most of this is insane. I've tested 20CP, 204P, M4, etc and have never got 6 feet of rope still shaving hair. I had a lot of fun and I hope you guys enjoy the vids.

Also David over at OTK is top notch, I can't say enough about the man. He treats his customers with respect and holds himself to a very high standard! His knives are one of a kind and I can't wait to order another.

These aren't reviews by the way, just some cutting fun.

Some stats:

GB-
Blade steel- CPM M4
Blade length- 3.4"
Overall length-8"
Blade thickness-.118"
Thickness behind the edge-.019"

OTK DC Slicer-

Blade length-3.63"
Overall length-7.81"
Blade thickness-.113"
Thickness behind the edge-.017"

OTK Loveless-

Blade length-4.31"
Overall length-9.21"
Blade thickness-.163"

First video is a little jacked up as my Ipad was held sideways, but the rest are good to go. Also if someone can embed that would be great, thanks for watching:

Ehh, his work is ok I guess lol. Honestly, he is an awesome knifemaker and all around great guy. I always look forward to seeing what he does next.

Don't bust my chops on the crappy pic :)

Love the pic, except that weird one with the spider on it lol! Just kidding I love spidies too. Great lineup, hope to have that many of David's knives someday.

David did the scales for that Spydie so I figured I'd throw it in the pic :)

Nice test, looks like you where having fun. :)

Absolutely, always fun to play with some excellent knives. I'm just following your lead. I probably wouldn't even know about some of the super steels if it wasn't for yourself and a few other on here.

Thanks for the video's tests! I'm a fan of all the steels you tested. The first run Spyderco GB in M4 run at High hardness has great edge retention, and is top tier IMO for a production folders along side with CPM S90V and M390. The other steels tested are in a the upper class along with BU K294.

I would love to one day get a hold of some K294 and put it through the paces. I like doing these "tests" I just never put them on video, I think from now on I will try to get them on video and share them.

Your cutting technique is good! A lot of people either push cut with too much down force or slice without enough pressure, you have the perfect balance.

Thank you, I try;) I have seen a bunch of the push cutting rope vids and never really understood the benefit, but everyone has their way I guess.
