Here’s a pair of axe heads I found today on my property. Which now brings my total to 4. There seems to be a lot going on the broken piece…soaking in vinegar now…

I live in upstate NY off the Susquehanna River in a wooded crick area….I found my first axe back in august and after some cleaning noticed it was hand made…..I also have a near mint Plumb Victory head I found….and then these two. I have a theory with my first axe that it was once a sword and remade into an axe….the other side of the broken piece kinda looks like a Viking seax….I will be taking it extra slow in the restoring of these two. It almost seems like there is alot of engraving and embossed detail hidden in 250+years of rust
 
Here is a quick picture of the first axe I found….I intended to keep it for personal use when I first found it.
