Well been a while since I have had a chance to finish anything (little deployment and house rennovation) so figured I would throw these guys up. Sorry for the crummy pics. Neither of these are getting sold as they are primarily experiments in style and function.
They are both 3/32 1095. I was shooting for hamons but forgot the difference in working with thin metal. Lets just say it takes a different approach to get a good effect. The smaller utility is staying at home, been using it a little so its starting to develope a nice patina. It has natural olive wood scales.
The other is going to a buddy of mine. Still needs an edge. It has a single sided bevel. About a 10 inch edge. Playing with shape and what not. The handle is a rough copy of a D type handle. Its stabilized black acacia, copper, and gabon ebony. The acacia changes color with light but theres no way to get that without a video. Its really cool looking stuff.
Once again sorry for the crummy cell pics. The camera is packed away for now.
