That is just beautiful. I may have to hunt one of those down myself, in the future ;)

Really sweet stuff. Wish I could float the leather down here. Seems that the Florida humidity just kinda prohibits it. Would be a shame to spend all those bucks on a nice set of leather pants and then see mildew in them a few months later. Happened to a Barkie sheath I had when I first moved down here..been hesitant ever since. Kinda one of the things that turned me on to Mission knives and kydex originally. Never had that problem in New England, even with all the rain.

I really have no idea. This was about 3 years ago when i first moved down here. I had some problems with my work knives too...mainly the Globals and Wustoffs(stainless steels at that). I always used mineral oil for my work knives before, but I never really needed any thing special for my outdoors knives till I got down here. I have several sets of cutlery I use professionally that need more maintanance since Ive been in Florida. Especially the ones I use at home that hang on a magnet in my kitchen.

As for the sheath that my BRKT had, I believe it was treated with some sort of wax. Might not have been original though as I got it from some body used.
