I got a table for Expo next weekend, I will not have alot of knives but all the knives I have will be new or special models. Below is my new Scrapper, 3 1/2 inch S30V blade of 1/8 inch thick stock. Overall length 7 3/4 inches. Will give it a carved clip tomorrow.Iam really excited about this one, cant wait to make one with a thick 3/16 stock four inch long blade for my new EDC.The second knife is a 4 inch Batwing style knife with a modded handle design. Both plus a couple more will be on the table at Expo so come check them out! Big thanks to Coop for the Photo tips!

Absolutely incredible!

Thanks for the great pictures. I look forward to the day when i'll have one in my hand.
Good luck at the expo. Looks like you'll need some pictures there for latecomers to see them. ;)

I'm sure your models will go quickly.

Beautiful.

Of all the knives I've seen you post this is my favorite. I think you really outdid yourself on this one. I've always thought they looked cool, but just weren't quite my style. The grinds seemed a little narrow for the width of the blade, and I'd have to hold one before passinng final judgement, but I can't get real fond of the humps along the back of the handle on most of your knives.
This one, and the second one look perfect though  They've got that tough as hell do whatever you want look, but are still really classy

Those are great, Matt!!!! :D

Love the 'melted contours' on those handles.......

Thank you very much guys! Here's another....4 inch blade of BG42 1/8 inch stock 9 inches overall open and Timascus clip.

awesome knives Matt! when I get my 635, it'll be on the way to you....

You got a way with grinds. They make all your knives look so tough. Great work as usual Matt.

My thoughts exactly (and I always thought the blade is a bit too wide compared to he handle). Maybe it is only how the picture is taken. But the second knife seems to be almost perfect - I wish I could handle one of your knives.

Just added one with narrower blade - that knife I can see in my pocket :) - BTW I think you make the best looking pocket clips around!!

Wow, Matt! Incredible! The sculpted clip is really different. Thanks for the pics!

I can't stop looking at those handles, they must have taken forever! Really really beautiful knives.

Thanks for the great feedback guys. I think alot of people might get turned off on the humps and points on my handles but if you pick one up I think you would be surprized how they fit the hand. I like giving your thumb a place to rest and grab the handle in a strong grip without using traction grooves. Most of my handles are also comfortable in the four basic grips too. Iam also carefull about not leaving sharp edges that would cut into your grip on the handle. I hate blades that look 2/3rds the size of the handle, I try and make my blades look at least as big as the handle. The handles on most folders are usually about an inch longer than the blades, a good design can make them look about the same size. I like to fit as much blade into the handle as I can. Iam always open to your great feedback, I have a thick skin. Some ideas make it into the changes I make on my knives and some never will just because it might change the look I like. I started making folders so I could have the exact knife I wanted and this is where my designs come from. Anyway Thanks! Hope to meet a bunch of you guys at the show this weekend.

Got one more done today for the show this weekend. I made this from a thick old Planer blade my grandfather gave me.Blade is about 6 1/2 inches long and somewhare between 3/16 and 1/4 inch thick. Screw on handle slabs made from .180 thick Ti heat colored, sculpted and Fizzed for some traction. Dont really know what to call it or what you would use it for, I guess a camp knife??? Check out some pics, thanks.

Here's another for Expo Iam working, 3 inch Batwing with Devin Thomas SS Raindrop pattern damascus blade. Sculpted handle slabs with polished contoured edges. When I etched this blade it came out very mottled looking.I think my etch solution must be junk or contaminated. It looks kind of cool a little rustic. Iam kind of torn about redoing it with new etch or leaving it the way it is....Anyway here's a quick pic.

Thats cool. Like I said, I'd have to handle one to pass final judgement on the humps.I understand why you use them. I hope I didn't come across like I was saying anything bad about your work, I think its great. I just meant that the first knife in this thread is much more to my liking than your usual stuff.
I do really like how you sculpt your handles too. Takes frame locks to a whole new level when they aren't just flat slabs screwed together.

I can already tell that this is gonna be another great Expo this year. Moved back to Pasadena too.

Matt, no problems buddy :D I have had a few people ask about the comfort of the handle with all those ridges.

Greg, Iam really looking forward to it! Iam hitting the road at 7am see ya there!
