Hey Chuck your picture didn't come out so good but I know those knives are excellent just like the rest of your stuff. I really enjoyed getting to talk with you at BAKCA and seeing your work. Especially that cable in a can bowie. I wish I could make it to Portland. I went last year but I don't think I'll have the funds to go this year.

Ray.

It was nice meeting you at BAKCA also. You do some nice work. Now we just need to get a hammer in your hand and beating on hot steel. If you want to make Damascus it is the only way.

I'd love to start forging Chuck. That's definately my next goal in knifemaking. Then I'm joining the ABS!!

Ray.

If you are thinking about joining th ABS do not wait, do it now. You do not have to be forging to join. The sooner you join the sooner you will be eligible to test. With your abilities you should be able to test as soon as your time is up.

Lookin great Chuck.I hpe the show goes well for you.My press is almost done, just needs some dies.

McAhron,
Nice to meet you at BAKCA. I always like to be able to put a face to the name. I hope Blade West goes well also. I really liked it last year and it looks promising for this year. What are your plans for your dies? All of mine are made from mild steel. It makes it a lot easier to build and clean up when they deform. Also much cheaper than alloy or higher carbon materials. I have notneeded to clean mine up and have been using them for over 5 years now. Have fun with squishing the hot steel. it is pretty neat the first time you really put the pressure to it.

Take Care
Chuck

Chuck they will be mild steel and based upon the dies offered by Don Fogg.I cant wait to squish some steel.:D
