Hey walkabout, awesome pics, what part of Canada are you in, near Banff or Jasper by any chance?

Lagarto

I'm gonna bet on the east of the Rockies. Those pics had me thinking,"Man that looks EXACTLY like a spot I hike around." I'm from the Maritimes, by the way.

Nice but I'd like to see a couple of cleaned/gutted moose with blood on those blades. Or at least a couple of nice trout on the barbie!

They don't look like they have cut a peanut butter sandwich in half.

Wow, that's some beautiful country.
One more reason to move to Canada, if they'll have me. :)

wow what a terrible looking area all that nature destroyed........oh wait your picks are the oppisite......nice places you got there...

The Busse gets used quite a lot... I've pried fungus off of trees, used a baton with it to split wood, feather sticks for the camp fire, and its inaugural cut was a deep slice into my finger needing a few stitches (foolish carelessness on my part :) ).

The Strider is brand new (a couple of days). In time, it will see more work!

Fantastic pics, great to see pics of where people live.

Also - I think this could be a great theme/excuse to post pics :

of knives out for a hike!

Excellent pics. Great country.

Will try and get some pics together soon.

Great pic, and great knives. I wish I lived some where like that. all I see is city unless I go to my home town 1.5 hrs away, and then there is nothing like that. Thanks for the pics. John

Nice group of photos. You photos have reminded me that there is a substantial difference between the little point and shoot digitals such as I have and the larger higher pixel models. What camera you use?

Thanks for the comments everyone! :)

I used a Nikon Coolpix 7600.

It's quite a small camera (nice and portable for hikes), however it takes 7.1 megapixel pictures and has a macro feature for close-ups.
