Oh happy day, I've been anxiously awaiting a DOD. Couple beauties for sure, I just recently got a Gelbu so I'll just stay on the dock and watch you sharks work yourselves into a frenzy.

Good deals today.

Freenzied I am! Dayvorce is looming if I buy that Gelbu but sure is pretty. Good to see some activity in the water tho.

Wow a very nice catch WFD! That is going to be a great addition to any collection. Can't wait to hear your views on it once you have it in-hand...plus see some great action pics ;)

Awesome prices today... A Purna Chainpuri for $85??? That's the buy of the week. I have a horn example the same length and weight. The are prob one of the best fighting designs HI offers. The balance is superb.

I also have one that is almost identical, and you are right, the balance is very nice, although my Kobra by Yuvraj and Baby Kobra by Sher are also very nice - I can't decide among the three of them which feels best. There there is the Reti...

Yeah I hear you... I have a 13in 6oz Baby Kobra that is a lightening bolt! I also have a 18in 14oz Reti that is also uber cool and fast. I consider them in a different class seeing as they were made from files and not hammered truck springs. A case could be made that they are in the same classification. My 21 kobra is a bit porky at 28oz but I am not complaining.

The Purna Chainpuri's blade is just a wee bit more substantial than the Reti's or even Kobras. The decorative work is icing on the cake. I love mine, its a lot nicer than the Chainpuri I got from a DOTD here on the forum. It wasn't a HI piece, just hand picked in the Chainpuri district by HI employees. The Purna piece blows it away!
