16.5 inch 25 ounce BAS by new kami Arjun. Nice rig. Slight shrinkage of satisal wood handle near brass buttcap. Best buy at $95 YBB. *SOLD*

18 inch 30 ounce M-43 by Tirtha. All fittings are white metal. Slight shrinkage of neem wood handle around the pins. True workhorse for your collection at $115 YBB. *SOLD*

The BAS in this thread is "16.5 inches and 25 ounces. That's heavy for a regular British Service issue Kukri. Not hating just saying. You might like it that way.

Could have been my mistake, but I could have swore that it was posted as 18".. Thats why I mentioned that it was light for it being a bit bigger than standard.. No hate.. Personally, the lighter the better for my uses..
 
I think maybe you saw the M43's 30 oz weight and associated it with the BAS/BSI. No problem I make mistakes everyday. I learn a lot from them. I am a traditionalist so I always try and keep historical material, weights, and dimensions correct for the specific item. Not saying non-traditional items (kukris in our case) is bad or wrong. Just saying lets see traditional items and non-traditional items so folks can choose the best one for their needs and desires. Have a good day PeteG1027
