Here are a couple of bowies I just finished. These are my "classic" style bowies. Both have 8" by 1/4" blades of 5160. One has a bocote handle with steel fittings. The other has a cocobolo handle with steel and brass fittings and mosaic pins. Feedback please. Thanks for looking.

OK. . . .your "classic" style rocks ! Actually, I haven't seen any of your knives that didn't rock ! :D

The one with the cocobolo handle. . . . .is very sexsay !

I also prefer the cocobolo. It is one of the nicer pieces that I've seen. I also prefer the mosaic pins over the steel. However, the functionality of the thong tube does score some bonus points.

I've seen some really slick handles that use many pins instead of just one. I'm also a fan of coffin handles.

Thanks a lot for the nice comments everyone. That piece of cocobolo is the nicest I've ever seen or used. I like the mosaic pins but I actually prefer the thong hole and single pin configuration over the two pins. Maybe I'll try making one with a single mosaic pin and the thong hole. I think that would look cool.
