I lock my precious ones up too.....today there are people trolling the internet and trying to find out where "you live" for all of our precious goodies. They will even buy a knife off you to get your address if they see your a major collector or seller! It also happens with people making appoinments with real estate agents to take a stroll through your house pretending to be legitimate buyers, then you come home one day and your house has been hit! or in a few cases the roll a truck up to your home and empty out the house! it happened in my grandmothers neighborhood, I always wanted a house that sit well back off the road well in my grandmothers nieghborhood "not so much anymore" the Neighbors saw a truck roll up their long driveway & thought they were delivery men or movers. The owners came home to find out they cleaned out there house....In the news last week it happened again......this is just another reason you should try to have close relationships with your neighbors, but sometimes they are the culprits too! for all sorts of criminal acts......they know your comings an goings or their kids freinds do!
One thing growing up watching the ANDY GRIFFIN show is you always lock up your guns! even with chains through the trigger gaurds , like Andy's gun rack he had behind his desk on the show......
