I had been planning on taking a closer look at this WRC Dark Molasses Bone series for a couple of weeks, and just couldn't pass these two up when I stopped in Shepherd Hills while on vacation. I absolutely love the humpback whittler.. Going to have to pick up a couple more of that pattern!

Hi,

Very nice pair!! The Congress is nice, but dog-gone, I like that Whittler. I can't see it very well in the photos, are all 3 blades swedged on that Whittler? I's gots a weakness for swedges.:D

Yeah, sorry about the pics, photography isn't one of my strong points.. The spearpoint main-blade has a small swedge on both sides of the tip, and the smaller spey and pen blades have a near full swedge opposite their nail nics. You can probably make out the one on the pen blade in the photo, but the spey's swedge is on the other side. I'm also a swedge man, and that's what initially attracted me to this one. After I got it in my hand, I fell in love with the rest of it too. ;)

Love that Humpback! How many springs does it have?
It has 3. I originally thought it would be wider than it is. I don't have any proper measuring tools, but by just looking at it, it seems to be about the same width as the congress (which has 4 smaller springs), and slightly wider than a normal stockman.

Thanks, I was hoping it had 2 springs, where the main blade shared both. But either way it's still on my list.
