Here are a couple of new knives just finished. First up is what i would call a cowboy bowie. this will be one of my BLADE SHOW knives. it has a 1084 blade mild steel fittings that have been browned and an african blackwood handle. this is my first through tang knife and took me 5 weeks to get it just the way i wanted.

Next up is a one of my "Forged Chute" knives that seem to be somewhat popular as of late. it has a forged 5160 blade with 416 ss guard n/s pin and a TRU-Ivory handle. wasn't real sure about the handle but it is what the customer wanted. He is a retired SWAT officer from Pennsylvania and wanted a showy knife to wear at gatherings. let me know what you think. I tried to talk him into actual ivory but he wanted something more stable.

Very nice I would like the second piece to be Ivory but that is not your fault.

Looking good Erik. Looks like you have the browning process down to a science.

Really like your chute, amber stag would be scalding hot on that model.

Those are both great looking knives. I would love to see that chute knife in some ironwood.

I really like the bowie, but think it would look better with fittings that contast the wood.

The forged chute is a very good looking knife. I like the way the blade is ground, and its overall shape.

I agree on the fittings i was seriously considering nitre blueing the fittings but i would have had to run over to a friends place to do that and i had so darn much time into the knife as it was and had some browning solution on hand. But i do appreciate the comments.

LOOKING GOOD ERIC!!!

Looking super clean my friend! I'm glad to see you progressing so fast!

Good work. I really like the finish on the guard of the first knife.

I've got to say that there is no way I would prefer nitre blued fittings on this piece. The browned fittings add visual warmth and nicely compliment the handle, IMHO. Really nice knife.

Super work Eric.
I too like the browned fittings.
Tru-Ivory is a good alternative. The pre-ban ivory is running out and who doesnt like the looks of ivory.
