Couple of "new" finds for me

Hi,

I've picked up a couple of new additions to the menagerie over the last month. It's been an excellent month for the Camillus collection.

First I came across a Camillus Tuxedo in simple jigged brown Delrin. Been wanting one of them since, I think it was Elliot who posted a picture of one. I knew it was a small pattern, but I was amazed at just how slender it is. It feels like a mere wisp in the hand. It's already been to a wedding in my suit pant and it was used to slice some ribbon at the Church.

I just got this Camillus Bird knife late this past week. Another pattern I've wanted because I'm a pretty avid upland and waterfowl hunter. I just love working my Springers. The one I got has the duck head in the oval. Only three more to hunt down and collect! Well, there is the Camillus made Buck version 300bucks showed me and of course there is the Western branded one too. But I really want to find the Camillus Pheasant model.

I also acquired another Camillus #21 Peanut. But I can't find the pictures of it. It has a different set of scales than the other two #21's I have. But the tang stamps are all a match. I think I need to go to the Camillus guys to ask about them.

Thanks for looking!

Nice find!

Hi,

That's a great picture. Thanks for showing it to me. I've never been accused of having anything with style before. Let alone authentic style.:D I think I'll be keeping a small eye out for another one or two of this pattern. I do like carrying it.

I'n not really sure if I'll ever use the Bird knife. I don't really know how to use it. I've always just used fingers for that part.;) They did do a good job of making the shield. If the others are as well made, I can see why it was a popular model.
