Two new slip joints. (nfs)

The first is a full sized 4 5/8" closed preban ivory and feather pattern, shown around but not to you fine folks, and the green one is D2 and micarta. Its my first shadow. Kinda fun too. Comments are always welcome. Thanks for looking.

Thanks Duncan. The top one took awhile. I forgot to mention all the pins are domed. Another first for me.

Hey Bruce..when you say domed...so when you are thumbing the knife is there an edge..or are they totally curved so theres no harshness to the feel?...sorry if this sounds dumb..but a harsh feeling pin can really annoy after a while.

good question. This one has domes like a mushroom that goes down over the ivory but actually is just shy of touching it. My fingernails cant catch the lip but I suppose girly nails could detect it. To counter bore for the domes is very tricky and if not done right leaves an unfilled unsightly ring around the heads.

Those look fantastic, Bruce! I especially like the ivory scaled knife. I think the feather pattern is hands down the best looking damascus there is. Thanks for sharing.

You could almost call that blade a "reverse" feather damascus: Beautiful knives Bruce!
The big hunter is a classic, iced with that steel, but the shadow is extra special too! Sunk joints on a knife usually considered an "EDC" which implies plain, rough, working knife, etc. A step up from the usual shadow.
I love it when your work pops up here - too seldom though!

Looks nice! That clip blade looks like a helluva
cutter! I like that it has lots of belly! Ivory has
a great finish! Looks great.

Bruce, both of those are awesome. Your blade shapes are unique and compelling. The second looks like a great user.

Well no girly fingernails on these fat paws of mine, so in other words you got it damned near down-pat-perfect...well done and congrats on your being able to produce such a awesome knife.....as everyone else here has said so far.
I know what you mean about the unsightly circle...I have seen some awesome Factory knives that I have been extremely tempted in buying...but because of this very subject - that has been the deal breaker for me...sometimes theres even what seems a slight miss that leaves a scar ....I cant get past that, ...you seemed to have got it pretty damned good so far.

That ivory handled knife is stunning. I think my good friend Roland just might covet that knife, Eh? I really like the blade grinds on both of these you are showing.

Thanks for the nice compliments guys. When I finish a folder I get so excited this is the first place I think of.

Very clean work Bruce! That Ivory & Damascus really speaks to me but the Shadow is no slouch either. Thanks for posting them!!
BTW I'm working down at Old Faithfull Inn with your friend Kurt. I got to see 1 of your knives come out of his pocket.

Dave, what a coincedence. Curt and I go way back. Cool to hear of him. Tell me more, what where when?

I really admire that Shadow interpretation, very elegant blade matched to a streamlined handle. And, as Charlie points out, sunk-joint adds a real touch of masterclass. I would've chosen another colour, but I suppose your client asked for it but the knife is really suited to micarta of any type. Many thanks for showing this, it's certainly interested me, and others, well done! Regards, W
