Couple of Quesitons

Hallo

I have a Gerber AR 3.25 lockback, partially serrated.

My questions are this:

1) How many of you here carry yours/reccommend me to carry mine in a sheath?

and

2) Does the partial serration make it need to be sharpened more or less?
