1 - Anyone know where I can get a look at/buy an SOCFK?

2 - Who do I need to talk to at EKI about repairing/tuning up my Commander. I HATE to admit this, but I let a co-worker's husband (who makes custom knives on the side) sharpen my commander. Evidently, he had never seen a chisel grind before, since he tried to hollow grind the blade. I'm sure you can imagine the results...... FUBAR'ed blade and finish.

BTW - I'll be posting my home phone # and address so all of you can call or mail and tell me what a dumbass I am for letting someone destroy my beautiful commander:( :o (NOT)

Thanks in advance guys

Hi Woody and welcome to my lair;)

The SOCFK is an exclusive through Extreme Outfitters. Their web address is www.tacticaledge.com. Barring a sale or trade with another forum member, they are the only source for this knife.

I am afraid that there won't be much we can do about your Commander. I won't know until I see it so please do send it in to us at;

Emerson Inc.
P.O. Box 4180
Torrance CA, 90510-4180

Please enclose a note describing what happened to it as well as your return address.

I suspect that it will take a new blade to bring it up to snuff. A Commander blade runs $75.00 and will cover all installation as well as return shipping. We can attemt a factory sharpening job for $15.00

It might not be as bad as you think. I have seen people worried about their knives only to find them not too bad once I see them.

If you need anything else, please let me know.

Derek, thanks for the info. I was pretty much expecting to buy a new blade for the knife as the damage was due to my incompetence:D. I just wanted to get some contact info to get my Commander up to snuff again. I tried the link you posted but got sent to "Bree Corporate Imaging". Didn't look like I was at the right place. I'll keep checking back though. Once again, thanks for the help.

Happy Turkey Day

OK, am I blind, or was that the SAME link (spelling-wise and such) in both John and Derek's posts? Why'd one work, and not the other?

Chris, I really don't know what the deal is other then there is a period after the ".com" in Derek's link. I didn't even know that would take you to a completely different web site.

John
