couple of quick questions

1) What is a hawkbill/duckbill blade shape,what do they look like? Are they the same thing?

2)How does a person bevel grind a flame edge/Wavy edge dagger? (probably not a quick answer on this one)

I can answer the flame blade or wavy blade question. I use a 2" wheel on my burr-king belt grinder and grind very slowly in vertical instead of horizontal. I kept spraying dykem blue on it and grind a little to see my progress. I dont want to make another one but enjoyed it the first time. Click on my banner to see the knife.

a extreme hawkbill profile would be a carpet cutting knife. to add a little to bruces description of a kris or flame veticly ground blade. you first put the half circles in the dagger with the same diaimeter wheel that you will vertically flat grind with.
