Well at a pawn shop....

Randall 19-5:

And Randall 1 - 7:

Notice the soft cases come with them! Randall pouches.

And I noticed the 19-5 has no pouch for the sharpening stone. Seems to be cut off... bummer!!

Now a question... the blades have the Randall logo but no 'S'. Ops... I now see no 'S' means tool steel.

But I paid a total of $434 for BOTH OF THEM!!! Could not pass up that deal. I didn't even dicker them down any.

Neither of them have been sharpened.

Any info would be helpful! Especially on the sheath for the 19-5. Love to find an original sheath with the stone pouch.

Thanks!

Cutting off the pouch for the stone seems to have been a fairly common practice, especially when they were used more versus collected more. As far as more information goes, it's tough to see the spacers and other little details that will help someone nail down a time frame for their manufacture. Better pictures made with a scanner or better camera will help a lot. Nice find and a great deal.
