Well at a pawn shop....

Randall 19-5:

And Randall 1 - 7:

Notice the soft cases come with them!

And I noticed the 19-5 has to pouch for the sharpening stone. Seems to be cut off... bummer!!

Now a question... the blades have the Randall logo but no 'S'. What did the 'S' mean?

But I paid a total of $434 for BOTH OF THEM!!! Could not pass up that deal.

Any info would be helpful!

Thanks!

Your knives have blades of O1 carbon steel, they will rust. Keep them oiled, you'll be fine. Randall's stainless blades are 440B, a fairly tough alloy that holds a decent edge.
If you don't really need the added corrosion resistance, O1 is a pretty good steel. Easy enough to sharpen, it gets really sharp, and is plenty tough, these guys have been
working with it a long time, and their heat treatment is legendary.

Helluva deal, in my opinion!
