Couple of Spikes and Handle rant

Just finished up a couple Spikes made from ball peens last week. I prefer hammer polls, these will go to people who will probably never use- just display them.
Does anyone have a source for handles that have decent grain orientation? I've bought from five different providers- have yet to see grain given any consideration. How hard is it to check the grain before you chuck it up?
I really don't care to make my own- spend enough time fitting each as it is. I saw a maker on e-bay list a handle company for handles- have to give them a try. Not looking to bash any handle provider- just interested in others experiences.
Thanks

Nice work! Since you are giving them away, I'll be glad to furnish you with my address and I'll pay the shipping.

I know HB forge makes some nice teardrop 19 inchers for 5 bones. It's incredible how durable their hickory is. Lots of n00b throwing mistakes and other than the occasional dent and bruise, the haft is just as useable as the day I got it in 2008.

Thanks for the leads to handles and comments. That's three sources that I have to check out.
Thanks Stuart, I'm a big fan or your work
