Hi all,

First I wish to express my trepidation in my coming journey to the USA . He'll last time there i was interrogated by customs stuges for three hours before they let me in and aim an American with a clean record:eek: fukcn nipples. Anyway.

Looking forward to being able to pick up my gladii and beat some tits with them. One question though , we have all seen many very cool vids and pic stories with folks beating the hell out of sheet metal and trees but has anyone tortured infi against infi?

I keep thinking with two gladius i should do some live blade training but to be honest i am a bit leery as i am not able to reprofile any damage might cause and they are kinda not cheap.

Second is i will be in seattle in two weeks any suggestions for topnotch seafood (not fried) or things to do there. Also will be in sacramento any ideas for there as well ? With wife and five year old son.

Any one want to meet up and brag about their collections?

Jerry has said on several occasions that edge on edge testing isn't a good way to measure a blade's strength (something with displacement of force if I remember right).

And, Gladius on Gladius might get ugly, they're heavy and hard to handle with 2 hands if you have hands that are anywhere close to being large. Plus I don't know of a good way to anchor the second Gladius, there would be a lot of force behind the swing and could knock loose a vice (and you wouldn't want to do a battle reanactment type test because well, someone might loose a hand or something).

Good luck with customs this time around, I hope your interrogation is a lot shorter this time :D
 
Thanks for the speedy wishes with american immigration.

not really asking about edge on edge testing as i would expect that no matter what the steel that if it is equal in all aspects it will damage the opposing blade edge.

just curious if infi can destroy infi.

as far as live blade testing goes i would be interested in what two gladius could do to each other. just not mine because even if it were to end up being in the warranty situation i could return but not expect to receive back due to the countries laws in which i live.
 
Welcome! Word of advice, keep a clean record here too (off of Amy Os list) and clean that post up just a skosh so she doesnt have to :thumbup:

Its a funny thing to me that Americans are well known for having some of the foulest mouths but are equally puritanical.

case in point personal exp.
after spending three hours being questioned buy US immigration i checked into my hotel , Marriott. preceded to have a couple of beers that don't start and end with Qingdao in the name, people were so offended by my speech patterns the bloody cops were called and i was threatened with jail due to my( normally accepted where i live) pattern of communication.

God bless America and no one else!!

now back to INfi

Thats the first Ive heard of us having the foulest mouths, not that I dont believe it. Gotta admit, I got one of the worse but I try and modify it on family forums so the mods dont have to do extra work. Cheers (Im drinking beer, sorry to those who are not)

Well, foul mouth or not....I am sure the cops will be called if you beat any tits with a Gladius!!! :eek::eek:

Yeah, I was kinda thinkin the same thing. Good luck and hope everyone has a pleasant stay. Might not want to hit the Ms. With the gladius though. The local police are not that fond of that sort of thing here.
 
OK, since nobody is really going to help. IVARS, its on the waterfront and u cant miss.
 
The Crab Pot on Seattle waterfront is a must for seafood in my reckoning. I would suggest going to the Seattle Science Center with the family and the Experience Music Project if you are into most modern music. For out doors, Mt. Rainier has many, many great dayhikes and campgrounds. Good luck and hope you have fun.

Yes, Infi can destroy Infi.

Heck, Even lowly 5160, or 1085 would damage infi with edge on edge chopping.

Language that many think is acceptable is not language that normal (Ie non white trash, or other trash) use.

I always cringe when I hear foul language (anything more than an occasional mild curse).

Profuse cursing will get the cops called on you in most polite company, or cause a fight if kids are around.
