I took just a couple of photos of my EDC after I re-did the edge on it. Looking forward to seeing what you guys think and where there could be improvements made in the sharpening process. I use a belt sander and to completely re-do an edge I start with a 60 grit > 220 grit > 600 grit and then move on to a leather belt with chromium oxide paste. For maintaining I just use 600 grit > leather belt. Let me know what you think. :)

Great job, was this your first ever regrind?
Maybe a suggestion to get a smoother looking finish; keep it well lubricated especially during the finer grinding stage.

No, my first ever regrind was my Kershaw Cyclone I have. After I saw how well I could get that one to come out I figured I should do it with most of my folders, which carried over into buying and trying on a fixed blade (cheap Gerber one from Walmart) that turned out quite well :)

I use a belt sanding system, so when you say keep it well lubricated, do you mean to dip it in water from time to time? Will that bother the sandpaper at all if it's not designed for wet sanding?

60 grit for sharpening seems too rough. I would start at 120.

I used to start at 80 but I found that when I really wanted to change an edge on some knives it took too long. 60 works great for a couple of quick initial passes to get minor nicks and stuff out of an edge and bring it around to the general shape I want. Most of the "work" gets done at 220 though.
