Hi All,

I've been out of the loop for over a year, so forgive me if I'm asking something obvious :)

1) swaprat website doesn't have any products link in it, or I can't fine one. As I recall there used to be a separate link for it? No?

2) What is the relationship (if any) between swamprat and scrapyard? Yeah, I did read intro by P. Busse. Just, there's no forum on BF, but sales section combines all 3 companies. So, were do ppl talk about scrap yard knives around here?

Thanks in advance.

I with you. I am reeling trying to figure it all out.

I think I have finally got it though. Seems that the parent company is Busse.

Two family members head up the sub-companies Swamp Rat and Scrap Yard. They seem to operate at the same manufacturing facilities at off hours (weekends, evenings and holidays).

Completely different staff and builders as far as I can tell.

I for one am very excited by the setup because, it seems like I will be able to get an entry level busse and a greatly reduced price. Granted, they don't use INFI steel (sometimes they do though), and you don't get to call on the phone to speak with a rep.

I would imagine, that was the idea in the first place. Provide a premium knife, using quality steel and heat treat, but just not as good as INFI steel, and the Busse designs.

From what I can see here though, the level of customer service and their standing behind their products is second to none.

I am going to be buying a Ratmandu after having researched this topic ad nauseum for the past week.

Can't wait. It seems I am hooked.

P220C-

If you want to speak with somebody at Swamp Rat Knives do a search for some posts from Eric Isaacson here on the forums and send him a PM or e-mail him, he's a really good guy to work with and very responsive, you can't ask anything more of a guy! He is the man to answer your questions on Swamp Rat knives.

Gator...I just got a very nice Steel Heart that was redrilled to have tube fasteners that is featured on your page! Great Job!!

It's a small world huh :) It's all good except I'm trying to figure to how order ScrapYard 's Yard Guard and there's nothing on their webpage...
