This commander is one of the most comfortable and we'll built knives I have ever really put through its paces. Have done numerous cuts through many materials including thin sheet metal to heavy plastic industrial banding and never once rolled or chipped the edge! Dulled it of course, many times but Emerson's ht on 154cm is perfect. Sharpens back up super easy! Coating is beat up but if this was an sf blade I doubt it would have a mark on it. Thank you eki for such a solid product.

Love that handle. I want that knife. When you get bored with it, let me know if you'd part with it. :)

A wonderful design and looks like you're getting it nicely broken in!

The commander is a great design for sure! And this one is nicely broken in, smooth like butter!

I like it!!!

Thanks! Me too.

Definitely looks better now that you own it. :)

LOL, best Emerson purchase to date!

Thanks! I don't see myself ever letting this one go but I will keep us in mind. I could let you know who made the scales if you want. He is a maker here. User ID is BOOMER52.

Anyone else got some well worn bt blades to show off?

Here's my 7V. Not as easy to see the wear on the satin blade, but this little guy has been used for more hard tasks than any other knife I own, and has never let me down.

Been carrying a Super Commander for about the last 4 years consistently at work. And I have not taken it easy on this thing....mud, dirt, sand, paint, digging, cutting on metal surfaces, dropped on the ground and thrown in the back of trucks countless times, you name it. Even some (gasp!) light prying. I keep the edge sharp but rarely do I clean or lube the thing, only blow the crud out of it with an air hose once in a while. And ya know what? This thing continues to kick ass. Holding this knife is like shaking hands with John Wayne himself.

I agree -- it IS difficult to see the use on a stone-washed or satin blade, BUT I see a dirty handle and that speaks to how often the Emerson is being used!

Stonewashed Super Commander with teeth - that's right up your alley isn't it IJ?

You should have seen the dirty handle before I cleaned it.
