My parents stopped by our house today and my Dad dropped 2 knife boxes in my lap and told me that my younger brother came in the other day with them and told him to chose one and give me the other one. ;) Well he was going to give me first choice. :D

First box was a Case and it held a Case 31048-cv which I have found out is a Barehead Slimline Trapper.

Next was a Hen & Rooster 353c-RWJ which I have found out is a Whittler in Red Walnut.

So I'm trying to decide which one I prefer, either to carry or just put up and save. Well Dad decides that his will just sit in the gun safe until he dies and said I could have both of them. :D:D So its a nice day for me and I am glad. I wanted the Case to use as a nice carry but the Hen & Rooster was my Grandfather's favorite knife and wanted to keep it for remembrance of him. Now I don't have to decide.

I'd start off with that Slimline Trapper. It has grown on me lately, seeing it alot. Looks like it will be a killer slicer.

Yellow Delrin is SO utilitarian though.

Since Hen & Rooster was Grandpas that is the one dude!

Yellow Delrin is THE Traditional handle!

Very nice choices both knives, that Hen is really good, congratulations!

I am thinking that both are 2nds, as the blade on the Case is off center and the logo on the main blade of the Hen & Rooster is not perfectly lined up. I was a little unsure of the H&R because it was more of a collector item then an EDC item. Nothing wrong with that, but I'm not a fan of collecting knives if I'm not going to carry it.

Amen brother!

That's why I'm trying to trade off a Trapper. Both too big and too nice to pocket!
