I'm new but have been watching this forum for a few weeks. Been toying with the bali(BM 42) and am loving every minute of it. Uh...

First, who thinks Clay(master Clay) should make a freestyle vid, like on VHS, that we could buy(?) so we can actually watch in slow mo. and enjoy all the time instead of just on the computer at work or home.?

Second, when are these bad ass concealx sheaths going to be available? Clay? I want!

Last, how do I keep BM 42 joints from coming loose? I tightened them, but after 5 minutes, they feel like they were before the tighten.

Peace out!

There is some stuff on the market called
loc-tite. It is used for keeping the screws tight on guns. you have to be careful which type you buy because it comes in different strengths. Get the wrong stuff and you will never get those bolts out. Use the right stuff and a strong twist will break the bond and the bolt will come out very easily

Hope that helps

Welcome to the forums! YES, Clay should produce a video on manipulation!!!

As to the loosening question: Prep with a degreaser and use BLUE Loctite; it is removable. It takes less than a drop on each Torx thread. Reassemble and set tension where you want it and let it set-up for a few hours, over night if you can leave it alone that long!

FYI, ANY Loctite can be defeated with heat of around 400`.

Welcome to the forums......... and thanx for putting me on the spot.

The sheath situation is a funny one. The demand is pretty high, which is a good thing.

The problem: My "SHOP", at the moment, is in the kitchen of my apartment, and my tools consist of Tin snips, a heat gun, a dremel, and a drill....... oh yeah, and an Eyelet setter. Can't forget that.

Don't fear though. I recently put together a PO for about $1200 worth of tools (belt sanders, band saw, buffing wheels, etc.). Now I'm hunting for shop space. The fun never ends.

Also, some designs are still in the testing mode, and thats good because a problem was found last week that I've since fixed.

Video huh?
You don't think the Brennan/Miller, or the Imada video's that are currently available are enough?? I mean, I've been wrestling with this since the beginning of B-X and I keep coming to the same conclusion: There are MORE than enough videos available out there right now. I just don't see that there is a need for another.

I might be wrong, but I think they've about covered everything you need for a strong, solid foundation. From there, it's just a matter of YOU keeping an open mind and working at mastering YOUR style.
