This is from the 2001-2002 Volvo Ocean Race (formerly Whitbread) which is multi-leg round the world race held race held every four years.

Some good shots near the center of this little clip collection too, but some are really short. Watch for the waterspout and the iceberg.

This years race is going to be in new 70 footers, with lots more new generation onboard cameras so should be pretty interesting.
Movistar, one of two boats in the water so far has broken a world record sailing 530.19 nautical miles in a 24 hour period. (Thats for monohulls)

They make amazing boats nowdays...The new materials are awesome.
