My cousin Butch passed away 5 years ago at age 46:(
I knew he had a few guns
Never really thought if he had any knives.
Butch's brother comes next door to my house in Colorado (he lives in my Grandma's old house)
Toss me a plastic bag
"I know you collect knives....These are Butch's. They have just been collecting dust in my drawer"
(sorry about lousy pics..I couldn't take them back on the plane with me. I left them at my house in Colo. Was working wit lousy lighting :( )
Bear MGC, USA, Folding Hunter
Any idea of age?

Are these sheaths/holsters designed to carry knives?
I've never seen any like them
The knives seem snug

I told my cousin how "receiving gifts in the 'knife world' is a main stay"
The funny part was earlier that day I realized I did not have a EDC in Colorado. Was almost gonna buy a Buck 110 at Wal-Mart
These are MUCH better:D

I'm sorry to hear about your cousin. But the knives are nice.

Sorry to hear of your cousin passing on but it is really nice that you got his knives. Those can't help but be special and will be great ones for you to pass on some day.

I'm very sorry to hear of your cousin.

That Bear looks like it was his main working knife. Knives from family members are always a little more special than other knives.

Carl.

I have a couple of cousins born within a couple of months of me and we are like brothers. I am sorry for your loss. Your cousin had traditional tastes and it is great that his knives are still with family that appreciates them.

Nice couple of knives. The sheaths/holsters look like they would fit into a front pocket nicely and stay upright while keeping the knife in a comfortable position??? Maybe???

Sorry for your loss, that's not ever easy, But thanks for taking time to share his knives with us!! Enjoy them, and that would make him happy.

Sorry for your loss also, that is a young age. He's probably happy his knives are with someone like you. Real family treasures.

Hi,

It's good that you have Cousin's knives. They will keep the memory alive.

He must have really liked that Bear. It show much use. I have a similar style sheath that I've owned for 20 years. It helps make those big lock-backs easier to carry horizontally. They don't poke you when you sit down. Does that one allow the knife to open as you draw it?
