Need some ideas for carry options for my new Bud Nealy Y2K. Does anyone know
how to carry these things for fast draw, but not tucked away in a sports
jacket.&nbsp; I used to carry mine on my belt with a nylon rig that worked out
great, except for the fact that everyone and their mother would stare at it and
ask questions of why I had such a thing on my belt. Also, who here can make a
minimalist Kydex sheath for it. Thanx. ~Ryan~</p>

Nealy's own "MCS" system is the best I've seen. Personally. I like the jacket carry - I'm not fond of IWB. Instead, I'd do a behind the back [on the belt] carry. Noone will see it if you don't want them to. Fastest draw probably is shoulder carry, inverted.
For a simple kydex or concealex sheath, great quality, Canadian value, Normark comes very highly recommended.

Hey Guys....

Thanks HJK...

However I can easily make you a simple yet very effective sheath for that blade,, No Problem..

Drop me a note and we can discuss what you would like...

Thanks Again..

I've been using the Nealy MCS with an M2-bladed Aikuchi II for the last two years. I've found it works best with the fat inside pocket flap, but also works well with the nylon paracord threaded through the holes and tied in a small square knot to facilitate horizontal, small of back carry. Nealy will fashion kydex belt loops to the existing sheath for such carry for $20 extra. The other styles of carry have been unuseful to me, as the highride attachment pokes at me when I sit, and the IWB strap doesn't fit right either.

Considering the excellent fit and finish of the existing sheath (not to mention the cool magnets), I'm thinking a kydex-sheathmaking purveyor like our Normark here could create an attachment for horizontal carry that used Chicago screws in the existing holes. All he'd likely need would be one of us to send our sheath and then make a hole template with a block of wood; unless there's deviation between the sheaths Nealy makes. In that instance, an adjustable oblong hole could be cut.

Just a thought! Anyhoo, if a more compact, foldover style sheath is what you seek, Normark is definitely the man.

Hey Guys...

Yaa 20 Bones for a loop is pretty stiff.I only charge an extra $5 if the person wants a different additional loop...

Hey it's material,,but the big thing is time $5 is pretty fair I think...

A sheath like that can most times be retro fitted with a loop,,but if there isn't enough material on the sides I won't even attempt it....

Yeah, I thought it was a little nuts myself. Check out his newer ads; they say something about more options costing extra, so I called and a lady told me I'd have to send in the sheath and the kydex loops could be retro-chickened. More disappointing to me than the $20 was that I'd have to send it away. Eric knows that's hard for some to do in good conscience

I've had the same problem, so allow me to offer a couple of options I've found very useful. First is a belly sheath that I've been using to carry a knife with a 5.5 inch blade. Nobody's even remotely detected it.

Belly Sheath

Quick and easy access, discreet carry.

The other that seems to work is the SOB sheath.

SOB Sheath

Also quick access.

Easy and quick to make too.

Thanks DrRMJ and to all for helping me out. I have messed with it and am now wearing it in the small of the back horizontally (with dress shirt untucked enough to cover the sheath and blade). I do like that belly sheath a lot, I will have to work on getting the belly to the right big boy size to cover it in the front now! =)
Thanks to all
Ryan
