Well that all just fits together nicely, doesn't it? I see you can do the standards too. :) The way that flows you'd think it was fluid. Nick you sure have a way with steel. Thanks for starting my week off right.

Perfect hunter. I like the way the line of the handle flows into the back of the blade. Nice and pointy. I also like hunters with butt caps that set in the hand nicely. The clip compliments the belly in the blade to make a useful shape. The shape of the ricaso and the curve of the guard look nice together. I like all the angles and lines on this knife. I would like to see a rounded butt cap like this one on a drop point and a squared off butt cap on this knife.
Its a beauty,
Dan

A great looking knife, Nick.
Now, just where is Cow Creek and whaddaya hunt there?:D

That's it. Very nice.

That's as nice looking as any hunting knife I've seen.

Thanks Fellas :)

Personally I typically prefer a drop point for most cutting chores, but I really like this style and wanted to have a go at making one.

Dan, good point, I see what you're saying about the pommel. Thanks :)

Bruce, it was great working with you too. One of the major high-lights of the week-end was working with you and John Davis hammering that continent to shape. It felt like a good-ol' blacksmith shop when I was holding that 10 lb. hammer and watching the smoke curl off of that stump. You guys were a good team! :D

Do you think you'll make it back over in a couple weeks when we try to finish it off?

Thanks!
Nick

Nick I would love to see it finished in person. With less people there maybe I can get dirty. I will have to show up on a saturday afternoon and sunday. I have to work until 3 on saturdays. Bruce

My friend, Nick--- I do believe you are starting to get the hang of this knife making thing! Sandy
